Eifeler-Vacotec’s medium size flexible coater alpha400P is based on dual arc evaporator concept with many special features and offers broad variety of technical solutions to produce state of the art PVD coatings for industry and research.

Eifeler’s dual arc source technology with high plasma activation allows high rate deposition of nano-structured and multi-layered, dense coatings with excellent wear resistance. Multiple arc sources concept offers possibility to produce PVD coatings out of 4 different cathode materials. Apart of the technology for standard PVD coatings is alpha400P equipped with in-situ plasma-nitriding and SPCS (Strongly Poisoned Cathode Surface) technology for smooth and dense ultrafine coatings. The eifeler-Vacotec system provides many options for synthesis of novel multifunctional coatings.
